Did you know, in an uninsulated home, a quarter of the heat is lost through the roof?

We can help you to significantly reduce your heat loss through insulating your roof. Our loft insulation is effective for at least 40 years, ensuring you have full peace of mind.

As your home warms up, heat rises and up to 25% of this will escape if your roof is uninsulated. That means you are wasting almost a quarter of the cost of your energy bills on heat that is lost. The cost of insulating your loft will pay for itself over a short period of time, through the money that you will save on your energy bills, as well as reduce wear and tear on your boiler.

The recommended depth of loft insulation, whether it be glass or mineral wool is 250mm – 270mm. If you already have existing insulation in your loft, this can be left and an additional layer can be added to top up the insulation to the required minimum thickness.

All of our fitters are fully trained in installing insulation materials and will deliver a highly professional and friendly service.

The type of roof you have will determine the required loft insulation that you need. To find out what option is suitable for your home, contact our customer care team today on 0800 0469190 or leave an enquiry.

Did you know, that almost one third of all heat in an uninsulated home is lost through the walls?

Most houses built after the 1990’s have wall insulation, however if your house was built before then, you may require insulation to ensure that your property is not losing heat through its walls. During cold weather, heat escapes faster from your walls into the surrounding outside air.

To determine the type of insulation you need, we will assess the type of walls that you have. It is likely that you will have cavity walls if your property was built between 1920 and 1990.

A cavity wall comprises two walls – usually one made of brick and the other with an inner layer of brick or concrete – with a gap in between, which is referred to as the cavity.

Our installers have all been fully trained to work with various different cavity wall insulation types, including mineral wool, polystyrene beads and foam. Our polystyrene beads come with a 25 years CIGA guarantee. From an initial assessment, we will advise you on the most effective method for your home, helping you to save money on your energy bills.

Did you know, that almost one third of all heat in an uninsulated home is lost through the walls?

Most houses built after the 1990’s have wall insulation, however if your house was built before 1920 it is likely that you have solid walls and heat is potentially escaping through the walls, if these have not been insulated. During cold weather, heat escapes faster from your walls into the surrounding outside air.

Solid wall insulation can be applied to either the inside or outside of walls, known as internal and external insulation.

From an initial assessment of your property, one of our trusted installers will advise you on whether your property requires internal or external insulation, based on your property needs and budget.

External insulation needs to be between 50mm and 100mm and will involve securing insulation material to the outside of walls which is then protected with either rendering or decorative cladding. For internal insulation, pre-made rolls of insulation or boards are fixed to the inside of walls to protect against heat escaping.

Did you know, that almost one third of all heat in an uninsulated home is lost through the walls?

Cavity wall insulation is a fantastic energy saving product which can help to keep your home warm, however there are countless homes throughout the country that have been fitted with it when it was not right for that property type. This is combined with some walls being filled with the incorrect material choice by unqualified installers which has led to several problems relating to insulation for homeowners.

We carry out full extraction reports to determine whether your home requires its cavity wall insulation to be removed. If the insulation has become wet, it is virtually impossible for this to dry out and will cause you several problems if it is left, including the slow release of toxic gasses.

Depending on your wall type, we have various methods of removal and will choose the most appropriate for your home. We remove all damaged cavity wall insulation with minimal disruption ensuring the property is kept clean and tidy.
